Frequently asked questions
Our photography studio is located at 77 Dunning Ave, Rosebery, Unit 406 (on the 4th floor). The building from the front has 2 large glass doors, and you will see more cafe near the door. When you enter the building, head to the right, come up the lift to level 4 and we are just around the corner.
Please note, the building is closed on weekends, but we are still operating. So, if you have an out of hours appointment, please call us on 02 9386 4298 when you arrive and we will come down and let you in. There is street parking - but it can take a while to find - we recommend you drive around the block a couple of times as cars are always coming and going!
The general rule of thumb is to wear simple classic clothing that works really well for all. We suggest beautiful pastels, creams or earthy colours. Stay clear of wearing logos, stripes and bright colours like red. For a maternity photography session we suggest bringing a nice large white shirt (maybe your husbands wedding shirt), black leggings, lingerie, singlet top and wearing something that shows off your bump. And again wear a block colour like creams, pastel or black.
The same applies for a newborn photography session. Although with babies we normally take photos of them with lots of skin showing, but if you have a special outfit for them we would love for you to bring it along.
It’s nice to personalise your session, for a newborn photography session we have many props here like wooden bowls, baskets, bows, etc, but it’s also nice to bring along something that personalises your session like a family heirloom eg. grandmothers blanket, your wrap from when you were a baby, a teddy bear, etc. If you are bringing along your pet it’s often best to bring their favourite toy as it makes them feel more at home.
If you are doing a family session and the kids love sports, bring your jerseys! Or if you love hiking, why not bring your boots to the shoot! We do two looks for a family session, usually a more casual look and a more classic or creative look, so give those outfits some thought before you come in. (http://in.As)
We’ve been doing this a long time, we understand there is a myriad of things that can arise with a newborn, family or pet. We do ask for as much notice as possible should you need to reschedule, but we are super flexible and will always do our best to find a time, we never want this to be a stressful thing!
Yes we do retouching as needed ie. take away fly away hairs, smooth the skin, even the skin tones, however, we assure you that your photos will look natural and not overly airbrushed. If you would like specific retouching we can definitely do it and we take notes about your requirements during the viewing session.
We schedule your viewing session after your photography session. During the viewing is where you select your favourite images and then select what artwork you would like. We have a wide range of print, framing and album options for you to choose from. Our friendly team will take you through the options and assist you in placing the order.
There is street parking around our studio in Rosebery. Immediately outside the building are 1 hour spots. There are various time limited spots in the surrounding streets, from 1 hour, 2 hours or all day. Cars are always coming and going, so do a few laps of our block. If you can’t find anything there, try the Cannery around the corner from us. Also check around Sweet Street/Rothschilds Street area (a short walk away) .
